Christofle Perles, 6 dessert forks in silver plate, new with their box
Set of 6 dessert forks from the Perles pattern by Christofle, in silver plate, supplied with their original Christofle box.
All 6 forks are new and have never been used: 4 are still in their original blister packs, 2 have been unpacked.
The Perles pattern
In the Christofle catalogue since 1879, Perles is one of the house's founding patterns. It takes up a key ornament of the neoclassical vocabulary: the beaded border, which Parisian silversmiths of the late 18th century set along the edges of flatware and hollowware. Here, a fine frieze of raised half-pearls follows the outline of the handle, whose surface remains smooth and bright.
Marks
Christofle and France marks, with the Christofle horseman hallmark, which also bears the initials of the house, OC.
